Vicom 110
* I was a part of the character and combat design group for Flipitz. Towards the end of the semester I took the role of secretary. As secretary, I took note of anything important that was brought up during class. On the Friday after each class I sent out a recap email in which I listed and explained the notes I took during class. I also took time in the recap emails to give people tasks if they were not in class on Wednesday.
* Starting in week 10 I also started taking lead of the out of class meetings. Week 1-9 we did not have a single meeting in which enough people showed up to even have a meeting. Since week 10, we have had a successful meeting every week - except thanksgiving weekend we did not schedule one. I also drove the meetings - I tried to make sure we hit every important topic and make sure those topics were sufficiently covered before moving on.
* I'm not fully sure of the best way to present my contributions to the actual content of Flipitz. I think it's difficult to say "I did this, this, and this" because everything was so collaborative. However, I would say that I did have a strong presence in every collaborative component.
* Some specific things I contributed:
** I made some character designs early on in the class to project my idea of what Flipitz would look like.
* I also used the creature creator in Spore to come up with some ideas:
* I created what I thought the plasma balls might look like -- (It's probably pretty obvious how they would look like, but I think it was good to just project something)
* I created an image to show our button layout:
* I created the game cover:
* The re-purposed game cover to be used for the presentation background:
* I'm not sure about the copyright status on the alien, various logos, and screenshot from the back. The continents and oceans of the planet were reused from an image of phytoplankton I found in the public domain. The rest of the cover was created from scratch.
